Children, Women, Disabled, Senior Citizens, Animals

With the Paanchpran initiative (literately means five lives), we reached out to children, women, disabled people, senior citizens and animals, through projects specially designed with 5 NGOs:

1. Voluntary Organization in Community Enterprise (VOICE):

VOICE Project Sanjivani aims at enabling girl children to become confident, self-reliant, responsible & contributing citizens by imparting vocational education. Contributing towards uniforms, shoes, text books & exercise books along with a nutritious supplement is the least we could do to support them in this endeavour.

With our support 8 under-privileged girls appeared for their Std X exams and two others for their Std XII exams .

2. Deepalaya:

Deepalaya which works with several Self Help Groups amongst the disadvantageous women of Uttarkhand, believes that these women are now ready to step out and start their own enterprises.

3. Freedom Foundation:

AIDS is not just a physical disease but a psychological, economical and social disease.

One of the ways to combat this disease is to remain aware of the illness and carry out regular checkups. By providing diagnostic support to widowed women affected with AIDS, we can enable them to remain fit & support themselves and their family.

With our support 144 women, in their battle against AIDS were ensured that financial constraints did not limit them from accessing improved quality of medical care.

4. Help Age India:

Help age Age brings with it problems for all, one such problem is that of Cataract.

Together with HelpAge, we tried to help senior citizens become independent once again, by funding the cost of Cataract surgery for Vision restoration.

With our support, within a year 146 senior citizens restored their vision.

5. India Project for Animals & Nature (IPAN):

IPAN dedicatedly works at the border of a Wildlife sanctuary, where farmers face the threat of their domestic/farm animals being injured by predators. By looking after the medical & nutrition needs of these injured animals housed with IPAN we helped save two lives, that of the cattle & the farmer.

With our support IPAN's 24-hour mobile veterinary clinic/ambulance, fully operational hospital and permanent animal refuge is constantly on their feet and are providing veterinary services to over a dozen villages and remote tribal settlements.
